Privacy policy

SleepynesLauncher is a free hobby project. This page explains what data the website and the launcher handle. In short: this site has no analytics and no cookies, and the launcher sends nothing to us.

Who is responsible

The data controller is the developer of SleepynesLauncher. You can reach them at 1sleepyheaddddd1@gmail.com.

This website

There are no analytics scripts, ad pixels, social media embeds or third-party fonts. There are no accounts or contact forms. The only form is the amount picker on the donation page.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which automatically receives the technical data needed to deliver pages, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. Requests and errors are also logged. These logs are used only to run and secure the site, and are kept for Cloudflare's standard retention period.

Downloading the launcher

The Download buttons take you to GitHub, where the installer is stored. GitHub receives your IP address and browser details when you download it, and handles them under its own privacy statement.

The launcher

The launcher has no telemetry or analytics, and it never sends data to SleepynesLauncher servers. It only talks to the services it needs to work:

• Microsoft, Xbox and Mojang: game files, Java, skins and patch notes, plus the official Bedrock Dedicated Server if you choose to host one. Microsoft sign-in isn't available in the launcher yet; when it is, it will also be used to sign you in and check that you own Minecraft. Bedrock's own sign-in happens inside the game, not in the launcher.
• Modrinth: which mods you install, so they can be downloaded.
• Fabric: the mod loader for your Minecraft version.
• Servers you add or join: a status ping with no account data and, when you join, what Minecraft itself sends.

These services handle your data under their own privacy policies. Settings, accounts, game files and logs stay in the launcher's data folder on your computer, and your Bedrock worlds and packs stay in the game's own folder. Uninstalling removes the app.

Donations

If you choose to donate, you pay on a checkout page run by Stripe, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. Your card number never reaches this website or us.

We receive what Stripe shows us about a payment, such as the amount, the date, and the name and email address you enter at checkout. We use this only to manage donations and to meet legal and accounting duties, and we keep it for as long as those duties require. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in receiving donations and our legal obligations.

Cookies

This website doesn't set any cookies, so there is no cookie banner. The cookie policy has the details.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or EEA, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict how it is processed, and to complain to a data protection authority. In Hungary, that is the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH).

Apart from donation records, we don't collect personal data ourselves, so most requests will concern the logs or third-party services described above. Email us with any question.

Children

We don't knowingly collect data from children. Microsoft's own age rules apply to Microsoft accounts.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
