Privacy policy

SleepynesLauncher is a free, hobby project. This page explains what data this website and the launcher handle. In short: we don't run analytics, we don't use cookies, and the launcher sends nothing to us.
Who is responsible
The data controller is the developer of SleepynesLauncher. Contact: 1sleepyheaddddd1@gmail.com.
This website
- No analytics or tracking. There are no analytics scripts, ad pixels, social media embeds or third‑party fonts on this site.
- No forms. The site does not ask you for any personal information.
- Server logs. Like any website, the hosting provider automatically receives technical data needed to deliver the pages and the download, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. These logs are used only to run and secure the site and are kept for as long as the host's standard retention period.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies and does not store anything in your browser. Because nothing optional is stored, there is no cookie banner. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
The launcher
The launcher has no telemetry or analytics, and it never sends data to SleepynesLauncher servers. It only talks to the services it needs to work:
- Microsoft, Xbox and Mojang: sign‑in, checking that you own Minecraft, game files, Java, skins and patch notes. Your password is entered on Microsoft's own sign‑in page and is never seen or stored by the launcher.
- Modrinth: which mods you install, so they can be downloaded.
- Fabric: the mod loader for your Minecraft version.
- Servers you add or join: a status ping (no account data) and, when you join, what Minecraft itself sends.
These services handle your data under their own privacy policies. Saved Microsoft sign‑ins are encrypted on your PC with Windows DPAPI. Settings, accounts, game files and logs stay in the launcher's data folder on your computer. Removing an account in the launcher deletes its saved sign‑in immediately, and uninstalling removes the app.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or EEA, the GDPR gives you the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. In Hungary, that is the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH). Since we don't collect personal data ourselves, most requests will concern the server logs or the third‑party services listed above. Contact us at the address above with any question.
Children
We don't knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. A Microsoft account is needed to play online, and Microsoft's own age rules apply.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
